Can the results from a scientific experiment be reproduced? Wikipedia has a fuller definition of reproducibility that states “ Reproducibility is one of the main principles of the scientific method.” The experiment being conducted by the original scientist or researcher (we call them Mappers at Dsensor) or any other experimenter. Dsensor brings a whole peer to peer network of fellow experimenters. The question is how do we trust and deem the scientific computation as being reproduced and the results validated?

The proven answer to this question is still a work in progress endeavour. However, the concept of a GaiaBlock has been put forward. A Gaiablock is a hybrid distributed hash table / blockchain immutable ledger that contains all mappers scientific computations, data and sensors used by the network. Every peer on the network having the right to independently reproduce the Gaiablock to validate results.
